Situated just outside the quaint village of frognall close to the town of Deeping st James our traditional country pub offers a fantastic range of delightful meals to suit everyone.

We offer a wide range of meals with an endless choice to suit all. Below are our menu links for you to download or view. During lunch times we offer both the lunch and full bar menu and in the evenings serving from the full bar menu only.

Bar Menu

Our full bar menu offers a range of meals, from rich homemade dishes, to juicy steaks and tasty fish dishes, there is guaranteed to be something that takes your fancy on our menu. We try to source all our products as locally as we can, with many of our meats and vegetables coming from local companies in Lincolnshire, such as Grasmere Farm.

We offer a selection of vegetarian dishes and can cater for or adapt dishes for any special requirements you may have.

Lunch Time Menu

Our lunch menu offers a great range of sandwiches; panini's and jacket potatoes, with a range of fillings. The menu also suggests some lighter meals for those who aren't quite hungry enough for one of our bigger meals.

Sunday Lunch

Our Sunday lunch menu offers the option of one, two or three courses. The menu offers a range of starters, a range of roast meats as well as a vegetarian option and a selection of tasty seasonal desserts. Ideal for family meals or large groups our Sunday lunches are very popular.

Buffets

We cater for a range of functions with our fantastic buffets. From our smaller sandwich buffet perfect for small business functions or funerals through to our large meat joint and salmon buffet perfect for small weddings or larger parties. Our buffets are available for whatever your need, please contact Graham or Emily for any further information.

Christmas Menus and New Year

Our Christmas menu is a 3 course set menu which combines traditional Christmas dinner with traditional pub food. The menu offers a range of starters, combined with traditional Christmas meats, as well as a homemade vegetarian option and traditional and modern desserts, then finished off with freshly brewed coffee and warm mince pies.

The menu is very popular and we do ask that you state when booking that this is the menu you would like.

Mothers Day

Why not treat your mum to a three course meal at The Goat. Our menu combines spring flavours with traditional Sunday meats like beef and pork, as well as offering a range of delightfully delicious desserts. Available as adults and children's portions, this menu is perfect for the whole family.

Why not treat your loved one to a Romantic meal for two in our restaurant on Tuesday 14th February. Please Pre-book this menu, however the Full Bar menu is also available so please state when booking which menu you would like.

Wine

We source all our wines from Amps Fine Wines at Oundle. Each wine has been tasted by ourselves and specially selected to accompany meals on our menus. The list ranges from dark, rich reds to crisp, fresh whites so there is something to suit everybody.
